Cuban-born brothers George and Isaac Feldenkreis started working with clothing in 1967, beginning with a focus on guayaberas, the four-pocket embroidered tropical shirt that is hugely popular in Latin culture. Their company, which eventually became what we know now as Perry Ellis International, expanded in the year 2000 to include lifestyle brand Cubavera.
