Founder Li Xu arrived in the mainland in 1986, to open up commercial operations in the mainland, starting out in handbag design before being asked to branch out into clothing. After many years experience, Li set up his own label ODBO in 1999. In Li’s view, clothes act as a mirror reflecting a person’s mood, temperament, taste and personality. Chief Designer Li is best known for his creativity, and for his refusal to follow trends but to instead use his imagination to remain original. ODBO clothes are designed for adventurous urban women, with a bold use of the latest fashionable colours, and Li’s design concept of “leisure loose”. After a few years making building up a following, Li won the UMISKY 7th Successful Boss Fashion Show Award, and the 9TH Shenzhen Entrepreneurial Achievement Award Fashion Competition, and later his designs graced the catwalk at Shenzhen’s first fashion week.
